Rehab Assistant
Kali
Kali is one of Allandale rehab’s hardworking assistants. Born with a love for animals and a drive to make a difference, Kali has been determined to give a voice to the voiceless. In 2018, Kali pursued an honors degree in Animal Biology at the University of Guelph, working hard to graduate with distinction in 2021. Hearing about the evolving branch of physical rehabilitation throughout her studies at Guelph, Kali was interested in learning more about how veterinary professionals can work with owners to better manage their furry companion's pain. In May 2020, while studying from home, Kali joined Allandale as a volunteer in the rehab department, soon landing a full-time position in the department.
Alongside her university studies, Kali was an active member of UofG’s Competitive hip-hop team, Atcha Crew. Even now, whenever she can, you will find her dancing in her free time. When Kali is not spending time with animals or dancing, she lives quite an active lifestyle, enjoying outdoor walks and working out at the gym with Jocelyne. Kali also enjoys spending time with friends and family, shopping, traveling, as well as seeing her favourite artists live in concert. Most of all, Kali truly cherishes the company of her beloved mackerel tabby cat, Cirilla (Ciri). Kali and Ciri have a deep bond, evident through their shared love for each other, food, and spending time exploring the great outdoors.
Throughout her time at Allandale, Kali has continued to gain valuable experience and knowledge working with a wide range of animals and equally passionate co-workers & friends. This has only fueled Kali’s passion further, making her determined to pursue her dream career and continue to make a positive impact on the lives of animals everywhere.
