Dr. Alecia Forsyth was raised in a small town just outside of Barrie. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences at the University of Guelph and graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College with distinction. Following graduation she worked at a 24-hour emergency hospital.

During her time in Guelph, Dr. Forsyth worked at the Humane Society. Her passion for giving back to those in need has led her around the world, volunteering to help with rescued animals in Nicaragua, Thailand, and North Carolina.
