In Loving Memory...

Xena was a 12 year old Shetland Sheepdog, considered either sable and white, or tricolour. She was the first dog I ever had. She had a fiery spirit, bright eyes, and a good temperament. She was loving, and once upon a time, energetic. She was beautiful, and incredibly smart. She was protective of those she deemed family, and a good judge of character. I was nearly nine years old when she came into my life; just a cute little six-week-old bundle. Now, I'm 21, and I was fortunate enough to have her in my life long enough to see my first-born child. For the month that they knew each other, she took to her very well, showing her affection, and protectiveness.
Xena was a great dog, at least to me. I loved her more than anything, and right now, I miss her greatly. She was euthanised on June 17th of this year. I'll never forget that day. It will always be painfully fresh in my mind...
...but more importantly, I'll never forget her.
